Intro to Tarot: Blue Ribbon Readings

If you are new to tarot and my channel, welcome. My name is Susan Davis. On this channel you will find videos for each sign of the zodiac for each month of the year, as well as weekly and other special occasion spreads.

Many people ask the question “How can a tarot spread in a video have the same meaning for everyone.”

The short answer to this is “It won’t”. But all of them will have symbols that you, as a viewer, can and will identify with.

Take for example the contents within the book case. You see objects collected throughout the years by my family members: some long gone and others alive and well.

Attached to each object in the case are meanings and stories that are only significant to my family or friends. Each meaning is determined by our own personal perspective.

Just like the objects in the bookcase, each card turned in a tarot spread represents a part of a story in your life –past, present, and yes, future. And yet, there are objects contained within that everyone can not only identify with, but in which may remind them of their own story surrounding a similar object.

For example: the big blue ribbon attached to a photo of my mom on the top shelf has a story that only I know as it was told to me and how I remember it. However, many people who see “a blue ribbon” will remember their own experience or story either about them or someone they know in regards to a blue ribbon and will attach their own meaning to it that they personally identify with.

Most tarot decks are based on the 78-card Rider-Waite deck and share very similar meanings, however, contained in each deck and in every card lays symbols that hold specific meaning for everyone who watches these videos.

Visually, the person, place, thing, or situation that comes to mind first when seeing a card is what that card pertains to.

So even if what I’m saying bears no relevance to you, look closer at the symbols and piece together a story that feels right to you.

The more you do this with each video, the more your subconscious mind will learn to fill in the blanks as quickly as each card is turned and images will start to pop and dance behind your eyes like a moving story book.

Trust the images you receive, listen to your inner guidance, and believe!
